Strengthening the commercial ties between Panama and Mexico, we had the opportunity to participate with the Ambassador of Panama in Mexico, Dr. Alfredo Oranges and Ambassador Carmen Gisela Vergara, Director of Propanama, in the virtual seminar "Covid-19" Challenges and Opportunities for the Global Economy, carried out thanks to the initiative of the Business Coordinating Council of Veracruz-Boca del Río, Mexico, with the commitment and objective of creating business opportunities and promoting Panama's exportable offer to attract investment.
As main topics, we exposed our attractions through our strategic geographical position, the Panama Canal, the Logistics Hub and the different special free zone regimes that Panama offers; labor, immigration and tax benefits, that are contemplated by its laws for established companies.
Free zones, main instruments to promote economic development, being of utmost importance to the country, since they have become pillars of growth, showing that, in times of crisis, are fundamental multimodal platforms for the trade of goods and exchange. global services, contributing significantly to the economy of our nations.
